Random end-of-Summer moments

There was a time when I could update the blog weekly. Life with two kids keeps me so busy that I'm happy if I find time to update the blog monthly.  The days are going by really fast; there are so many moments I don't want to forget.

When I visited my parents in August, we went to Downtown Disney Marketplace. It was lots of fun! Each store had a different theme and there were different play areas to keep the kids entertained.

At the Lego store.

These are all made out of legos.

It was HOT outside.
So this is how we ended the day.
The kids loved it!

This is at the Library in Tallahassee. We go almost every week.  We love it.

This is at Tom Brown Park.  We go there a lot.
Oli and Maddie are really into "building" roads, digging, and playing with dirt.  It's funny that Maddie likes playing with trucks.  I guess having an older brother is rubbing off on her!

This was Oliver's first day of Preschool. He was really excited (and so was I).

Oli's classroom has a Fire Station theme.  Every weekend a different child gets to take home Fire Bear and Fire Dog and play with them. Oli was super excited to take them home when his turn came around.  Good thing there were two animals because Maddie claimed Fire Dog as soon as she saw him.

Even though some days are overwhelming and I don't always look happy, I love what I do. I love playing, being silly, laughing, and reading with the kids; and sometimes just staring at them. It melts my heart to see them play together and laugh at each other's jokes. I love it when we get into the car and I look back and see them holding hands while sitting in their car seats.  I love it when they're silly while Brian reads books to them at night. (I also love watching Brian being an awesome Dad.) The kids  crack each other up.  It's hilarious.  Most of all, I love hugging and kissing the kids. I don't want to forget these special moments.  Even though life is pretty crazy these days, I wouldn't change it for the world!
