Easter 2012

We went to our friends' Denis and Jenny's house for an Easter party. Oli and Maddie were the youngest kids there and got spoiled by all the big kids and adults. They loved it!

It's really hard to get a good photo of the two of them.

Messy situations

These two have lots of fun while getting into messy situations. I love it!

February 2012

These days Oliver is really into the  music video "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. Brian was playing different videos on You Tube one day and showed him this one. Oli has been a little obsessed with it since then.  (Am I proud of it? No, but I want to remember these moments someday :)

He's still into maps and puzzles. This book combines both...

100 piece puzzle of the world

Maddie LOVES all the Bing Bunny books. They're cute, short, funny stories.  She tries to say, "It's no big thing, Bing" and walks around saying "no big thing thing Bing".  This is one of my favorite Maddie stages :)

Here she is in Music class. I think this phase is coming to an end soon since the class is for children up to 2 years old.  I can't believe she's almost there.

Picking out a drum.

This was our first official family movie night (afternoon).  Brian made popcorn, we turned off the lights and watched Cars 2.  The kids loved the popcorn and focused on the movie for about an hour. Not bad for a first time. Can't wait to have many more family movie nights.

One Wednesday night after church I went to Publix and Brian went home with the kids to put them to bed. I got home and this is what I found.  Poor kiddos are usually wiped out after evening services.

January

Here's a recap of January :)
Oli has been busy riding his new bike. This was his first lesson. He got it - sort of.

A few days later we went to the park to practice and it clicked - he was off, with Madelyn in tow.

This desk, chair and lamp used to be Brian's father's. Mary shipped it to him a few weeks ago. When Brian was younger he spent many nights at home studying on this desk. It's very special.

Oli's latest hobby is geography and maps. He loves them and always wants to know where we are.  He does this USA puzzle several times a day. He also has a big USA map in his room and has learned all the states.  No joke!  We didn't push him to do it - he actually wanted to.  When he sees a map, he asks, "What's this? And what's this? And what about this?"  He wants to know everything about it.

My cousin Jasmin came to visit for a few days. We went to Lucy and Leo's to celebrate her Birthday with cupcakes :)

The weather was beautiful so we went for a walk at Miccosukee Greenway.
