Valentine's Day 2014

On Valentine's Day we made a heart banner with the kids. When we make crafty things like this I have flashbacks of my childhood (I loved Art class) and it makes me smile. I hope Oli and Maddie will remember these little moments and smile too. :) 

Maddie's hearts had more glue than Oli's... ha ha!

For the past five years (since having kiddos) we have stayed in on Valentine's Day and cooked special meals at home. This year we went out to dinner and got a babysitter. It was fun!

"Snow" day in Tallahassee 1.29.14

Believe it or not, this past Wednesday all schools and some businesses - even Brian's office - closed for a "snow" day. The kids were so excited!  They imagined we were going to see snow like they did on our trip to Illinois last Christmas.  They thought they were going to be able to make a snowman!  That of course didn't happen.  But they had fun anyway touching the icy rain and seeing some "snow".
