First Family Pet!

The kids have been asking for a dog for almost a year. We thought about it, but decided we weren't ready for a third "kid."  So we got a fish instead! It's a Betta fish, which is for beginners.  He's supposed to live 2-3 years (we'll keep our fingers crossed). They were so excited about getting a pet that they didn't mind the change from a dog to a fish. They named him Rex. They love feeding him and have surrounded his bowl with a tiny horse, paper dinosaur, and race car so that he won't be lonely. Ha!
